Horizon Lanka Academy is often compared with Hogwarts School of Magics in “Harry Potter” by its students because learning process here is full of fun. HL Academy is not a government school. This is just an informal supplementary educational center.
HL Academy believes in activity oriented approach in teaching. It uses a lot of technology such as computers, Internet, village-wide Wi-Fi zones and mesh-internet enabled houses to teach. Most of the homework is done and monitored electronically. What HL Academy does is making 2D (two dimentional) education into 3D (three dimentional) with using more technology and field visits. Most of the students have their own blogs and websites. Each student has an email ID at HL Academy.
